Golf Tournament Report: Joanna said that the golf
tournament had gone well and that it was a sold out event. The
committee will decide if the event next year will again be a night
time tournament or go back to a day time event. There had been a
mistake at the tournament and the wrong group was awarded the second

the Chamber meeting the prizes were given to Loch Lolly as they were
the groups sponsor.

The September Chamber meeting will have Recology as our guest

about 7:00. Teams should finish about 10:00pm with the dinner being
served about 10:30.
Patti reported that the Garlic Festival had a great year with
attendance being up. We were approached by the City Manager and the
Police Chief at the final Garlic Festival meeting that they would
like the City to be more involved with the festival with the
thoughts that the festival could be moved to the downtown area in
the next couple of years. Russ Sheldon from the Knights of Pythias /
beer garden will attend our September meeting to give their report.
It was brought up again that some of the North Plains Chamber Board
Members would like to see about the North Plains Chamber and the
Banks Chamber combining to become one. Stewart King stated he didn’t
like the idea, each Chamber has their own set of problems and why
would our Chamber want Banks problems or why would they want ours.
Paul Coussens made a motion to form a committee to establish a job
position within the Chamber for a membership/ events Coordinator.
Bridget seconded the motion and it was approved. A meeting will be
held to discuss the job description of this position.

City Manager Martha DeBry explained to the Chamber members that the
City is in the midst of updating their web page to make it more user
friendly, and that it will have new additional links to help new
